1. Fine river views, beautiful outdoor pool, clean, spacious room, delicious breakfast selection

1. No bathroom door, lack of coffee-making facilities, delay in dinner service

I liked really good and exceptional employees!

My room included a small balcony, a terrace, and a patio. The service was outstanding, totally satisfied. The location was stunning for me as it was just next door to the vineyard as well as the Douro river and the vineyards.

The room itself was nice styled and with balcony, fabulous view, comfy bed. Location: the hotel was next to other restaurants in the area as well as a hillside overlooking the Douro River and surrounding hills: D

The staff at Delfim Douro Hotel were attentive and eager to assist, going above and beyond to enhance our stay.

The restaurant's pricing felt unjustified, and we found the food quality didn't reflect the premium cost.

Food at restaurant is very poor and complements in room are basic

Very new building surrounded by vineyards with view of the river. As mentioned by a previous reviewer, the staff are still learning their jobs but all tried hard and were very friendly and polite. The restaurant was very good for dinner and breakfast. We would have liked to have stayed longer than 2 nights. The bedroom was extremely well furnished and comfortable.

It is too remote and impossible to find. Both days local inhabitants volunteered to drive there and we followed. The hotel is trying to get gps recognition.

The pool area offered fine views and a relaxing atmosphere. We encountered issues with the delayed dinner service.

We had a marvelous stay in a really nice designed hotel, with a beautiful sight, and very good breakfast and restaurant-dinner. Staff was also very friendly No complaints what so ever.

The room was modern and bright, we had a small balcony and a terrace. This hotel had a remote position in the hillside on the Douro River. And it was also near the vineyard, the Douro river and the valley, and a beauyiful Duoro valley.

The staff was disappointing.

The amazing views from the private balcony and the attentive staff. The buffet breakfast was good with a great variety of dishes.

- beautiful setting on the top of the hill - breathtaking views; - nice design touches throughout the hotel; - smells nice inside; - comfortable and reasonably big rooms - fabolious reception staaf; - beautiful terrace overlooking the valley - make time to sit and have few cocktails to take in the view; - great swimming pool; - good cocktails, nice coffee and the food is ok (octopus was too chewy and the soup was a little tasteless)

- see-through showers ( there is a curtain somewhat shading the window into the bathroom but not quite enough); - no bathrobes or slippers (4 star hotel should have it); - limited choice during the breakfast - disappointed at lack of fruit; - shame that the terrace lighting is rather poor; - no blankets given on the terrace in the evening - it would be nice when the evenings get a little colder.

Liked delicious and wonderful breakfasts!!

i was offered a room with nice views of the valley. bidet in the open bathroom was a plus. the hotel had a remote location on douro river.

We enjoyed the amazing river views from our room's balcony and the relaxing pool atmosphere. The kayaking was a nice adventure!

In my wife's opinion, room privacy could be improved.

Strongly recommend for a date night

Beautiful room, beautiful location with fine river views, complemented by really good service, made our stay nice.
